Brand: Terre Exotique
Originally from Madagascar, its name comes from "Voa" which means fruit, and "tsiperifery" which is the name of the plant in Malagasy. The Malagasy village communities harvest this very rare pepper entirely by hand between June and August. The Voatsiperifery grows wild in the tropical rainforest of southeastern Madagascar. Difficult to harvest is dangerous: the vine grows up to 30m high and the fruits rise towards the sun in the tree canopy. It is a pepper with complex aromas, notes of wood, fruit and burnt herbs.
